Abstract

1289623 Silos A VON BENNIGSEN-MACKIEWICZ 25 Aug 1970 [29 Aug 1969] 40800/ 70 Heading E1T [Also in Division B8] A silo is provided with a storage section 4 and a conical discharge section 5 with both sections made of flexible material and disposed between a roof 12 and a floor 10 having a discharge passage 11 in register with the outlet 9 of the section 5. The arrangement is such that the upper storage section 4 can be lifted relative to the discharge section 5 by means of a jack 14 acting on an arm 13 to facilitate discharge of the contents of the silo. The silo may be mounted in a support frame 7 and is provided with support rings 2, 3, 6 as shown. In a modification, the silo is fixed to the ceiling and actuated by lifting tackle, see Figs. 4, 5 and 6 (not shown).
