Abstract

1289029 Fluid regulation NAVALCO A S 4 Sept 1970 [4 Sept 1969] 42530/70 Heading G3H [Also in Division G1H] In a method of or apparatus for determining a liquid level air, from a compressed air source 1, is fed on opening a valve 2, via a filter 3 and a reduction valve 4, to one or other of channels 16, 17 and a control channel 13 connected by a flexible graduated tube 12<SP>1</SP>, to a probe 13 and a channel 6 provided with a reduction valve, determines the channel 16, 17 through which the air-flows and the arrangement is such that should the air initially pass through channel 17 valves 6, 7 which may be automatic and kept at atmospheric pressure therebetween by a bleed hole 8, one opened to deflect the air to channel 16 and the probe 13 is then lowered on to the liquid surface to close the probe 13 and to deflect the air-stream to channel 17 to operate a visual alarm 11 on acoustic alarm 10 and the liquid level in need of the graduations tube 12<SP>1</SP>.
