1288710 Selective printing F V LA HAUSSE and W LAUTERMANN 19 April 1971 [18 March 1970] 24589/71 Heading B6F A mosaic printing unit 18 comprises printing elements in a block 48 each actuatable by a rod 40 fixed to the armature 28 of a corresponding electromagnet 22. Return springs 30 act on the armatures 28. The actuator rods 40 are parallel. A plurality of similar units 18 are juxtaposed along a print line with adjacent units having their baseboards 20 carrying the electromagnets 22 on alternate sides of their associated blocks 48.
