1287918 Fluid pressure brakes WESTING- HOUSE BRAKE & SIGNAL CO Ltd 9 Sept 1970 [25 Sept 1969] 47381/69 Heading F2F A fluid pressure operated braking system includes an electrical control 10 having a variable resistor, an electro-pneumatic converter 20 responding to operation of the control 10 to produce a variable fluid pressure and a feed control valve 30 which supplies the fluid pressure to the braking system via a relay valve 40, the response of the converter 20 to a release setting of control 10 producing a pressure value marginally outside the actuation range of the braking apparatus at the release end and the feed valve absorbing said margin whereby random fluctuations of the fluid pressure within the margin are isolated from the braking apparatus.
