Abstract

1287770 Photo-sensitive materials containing ultraviolet absorbers KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO Ltd 24 Dec 1969 62895/69 Heading G2C [Also in Division C2] A light-sensitive colour photographic element contains in at least one layer thereof, an aqueous dispersion containing, as an ultraviolet absorbing agent, two or more compounds having the general formula: wherein R 1 -R 5 are each hydrogen or halogen atoms, or (C 1 -C 6 ) cycloalkyl, alkoxy, aryl, carbalkoxy or alkylsulphone groups, or R 4 and R 5 are (C 1 -C 6 ) alkyl groups, provided that (i) at least one of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 does not represent hydrogen, and (ii) the total number of carbon atoms in R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is less than 8; the said compounds being dispersed in an organic solvent therefor. The solvent is suitably one which boils above 150‹ C. and is used either alone, or in combination with a lower boiling liquid. The dispersion is preferably present in the silver halide layer.
