Abstract

1287529 Seals ENVOPAK Ltd 27 April 1971 [27 April 1970] 20145/70 Heading B6P A security sealing device comprises a single piece of sheet material which is folded to provide a pair of metal jaws 1, 2, one jaw 2 having a tongue 5 with catch tabs 9, 10 which, during insertion of the tongue through a slot formed in an inturned extension at the free end of the other jaw and having lips 8 facing inwardly of the interior of the closed jaws, are moved to positions on opposite sides of the tongue such that, by engagement with the lips 8, they prevent opening of the jaws. The jaws have side flanges 3, which may grip a tie cord, and may be provided with an anchor point (11), Fig. 4 (not shown), or apertures (14), Fig. 5 (not shown), may be provided to accommodate the tie cord (4). The device may be embossed after closure.
