Abstract

1287169 Tambourines Y KOISHIKAWA 8 July 1970 [4 Dec 1969 9 June 1970] 33229/70 Heading G5J A tambourine comprises a pair of frames A, A<SP>1</SP>, a sheet B attached between them, and an annular tensioning piece C, the frames A, A<SP>1</SP> being made of a synthetic resin and having step portions 4 to locate the tensioning piece C grip portions 5 and bell mounting portions 6, one of the frames, at least, having roughening grooves a. The frames may be secured together by clamping members passing through bosses 9. The sheet B has holes around its periphery through which projections 2 on one frame may pass, to engage recesses 3 in the other, thus holding the sheet B between the frames. The annular tensioning piece C consists of a main annular portion 11 and a ridge 12 around its innerperiphery and fitsbetween the step portions 4. The ridge 12 presses against the sheet B to tension it. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1,258,362 and 1,142,365.
