Abstract

1286628 Dispensing liquids CARTERS VENDING DISPENSING Ltd 26 Jan 1970 [13 Feb 1969] 7755/69 Heading A4T [Also in Division F1] In a soft drinks vending machine, the postmix syrups is contained in a disposable bag 6 and is passed to a tank 58 for dilution via a tube 20 and an electrically actuated pump 40. The bag is fitted within a rigid container, and has an aperture 16 with a raised annular portion 4 on to which a cap 12 carried by tube 20 is sealingly screwed. A non- return valve is provided at the lower end of tube 20, and the motor 44 driving the pump may be coin operated. The dip tube, Fig.3 (not shown) may be fitted with electrodes which sense when the tube begins to empty and serve to de-energize the pump at such times.
