Abstract

1285131 Tamper-proof closure; container spouts F TINI 13 April 1970 [23 April 1969] 17408/70 Headings B8D and B8T A body member 1 is a snap-fit in an opening of a container (not shown) and has extending through it a hollow cylindrical element 3 whose open end is sealed by a plug 2. Prior to use, the plug 2 and body member 1 are joined by a tearoff strip 4. On removal of the strip 4 the plug 2 may be removed and the element 3 screwed out to an extended position, Fig. 2 (not shown), where it acts as a pouring spout, and where it may be retained by the engagement of rib 11 in a seat 12, complete removal of the element 3 being prevented by a flange 10. The body member 1, plug 2, and tear-off strip 4 may be moulded as one piece.
