Abstract

1284589 Coated sheet material KALLE AG 25 Nov 1969 [27 Nov 1968] 57684/69 Heading B2E [Also in Division G2] Microfilm images 14, 15 are mounted upon a transparent support 10 having a thermoplastic layer which is adhesive when heated by the application of pressure and heat. Suitable materials for the support are cellulose acetate, or other cellulose esters, polyesters, polycarbonates, and polyethylene terephthalate. Suitable heat activatable adhesives are polyvinyl acetate, vinyl acetate copolymers, acrylic acid ester homopolymers and copolymers, polybutenes and styrene or natural resins such as mastic, copal. Adhesives with a suitable melting range are obtained by mixing such constituents together or with other additives such as plasticizers, silicone resins, polyethylene, courmarone indene resins or penta erythritol ester resins.
