Abstract

1283950 Valves SUMITOMO PRECISION PRODUCTS CO Ltd 8 Dec 1969 [28 Dec 1968] 59863/69 Heading F2V A reciprocable spool valve has a series of annular grooves 12 separated by lands, each having a width of less than 0À5 mm. so that there is a sufficient number of grooves per unit length to prevent the spool sticking. The grooves may have any of the cross-sectional shapes shown in Fig. 4 and may alternatively be formed in the spool bore. The valve may control the oil supply to a cylinder 14 and be actuated by an electromagnet against the action of centralizing springs.
