Abstract

1282068 Terminals AMP Inc 18 Jan 1971 [19 Feb 1970] 2330/71 Heading H2E A connector 1 has a ferrule part 2 for crimping to a battery lead wire and a tab part having a frusto-conical shank portion 6 rendered resilient by the provision of slots 8, shank portion 6 fitting over the tapered terminal post (18) (Fig. 1, not shown) of a battery and being pressed into contact with the post by screwing on cap 12 until it abuts the flat portion of the tab. The shank portion may have protuberances on its inside surface for scoring the terminal post. Connector 1 may be lead, silver or an alloy of these. The cap may have gripping ears or grooves (Fig. 4, not shown).
