Abstract

1281222 Washing and drying appliances L KRUMMENACHER 3 July 1969 [3 July 1968] 33512/69 Heading A5R Apparatus for automatically washing and drying the feet comprises a compartment 2 with an opening 4 in one wall and provided with a water inlet 16, a water outlet 3, an air duct 7 connected to a hot air blower (not shown) and at least one rotatable basin 18 with flexible brush elements (not shown) fixed to the inside thereof. The basin 18 consists of a dish-shaped base 8 provided with bristles or other flexible elements (not shown) and having holes 10, 10' in its wall for the outlet of water, which basin 18 is driven through an axle 11 by a motor (not shown) in a support compartment 6, which may also contain the hot air blower. The water inlet 16 may be provided with a movable sprinkler, or may extend as a perforated tube around the rim 5 of the opening 4. Brush 18 may be additionally supported by balls 12, 12' on the floor of compartment 2, and the water supply may have a dosage device to introduce desired agents at the appropriate time. The sequence of operations of the apparatus may be controlled by a programme switch.
