Abstract
1281119 Electrophotographic element ADDRESSOGRAPH - MULTIGRAPH CORP 6 April 1970 [30 April 1969] 16138/70 Heading H1K An electrophotographic element comprises a conductive base coated with an organic photoconductor and a sensitizer of formula wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 may be the same or different and are hydrogen, halogen or an alkyl group. The specific bianthrones used are those substituted 2,2<SP>1</SP>-dibromo, 4,4<SP>1</SP>-dimethyl, 7,7<SP>1</SP>-dibromo-2, 2<SP>1</SP>,3,3<SP>1</SP>-tetramethyl and 5,5<SP>1</SP>- difluoro-2,2<SP>1</SP>-di-isopropyl bianthrone as well as bianthrone itself. The sensitizers may be used in mixtures of chrysene, 2,3<SP>1</SP>-benzodiphenylene oxide or triphenylene in copoly styrene-butadiene or polyvinyl formed dispersed in organic solvent or an organic solution of polyvinyl carbazole and the composition coated on a suitable base.
