Abstract

1280913 Camera mounts RANK ORGANISATION Ltd 28 April 1971 [6 July 1970] 32696/70 Heading G2J A pan and tilt camera mount is pivotal about a point P which is located at the entrance pupil node of the camera lens. The mount has adjustment means to accommodate different cameras. A rotatable post 2 supports a yoke 1 having arcuate slots 3, 4 centred about the point P and including the same angle. An inverted yoke 5 has pins 6 and 7 engaging in the slots 3, 4 so that the yoke 5 is pivotal about the point P. The yoke 5 may encompass rather than enter the yoke 1 and either yoke may have the pins or slots. The yoke 5 has a camera mount 8 which has dovetails 12, 13 to mount a camera for longitudinal movement and is pivoted about a shaft 9 by a screw 10 so that the camera may be adjusted to bring its pupil node into alignment with the point P. The yoke 5 may be tilted by a handle 20 operating electrical contacts 22, 23, 24 which actuate a motor operated screw jack 15, 16.
