Abstract

1280591 Processing of filamentary tows VEPA AG 16 Feb 1970 [17 Feb 1969] 7341/70 Heading B5B [Also in Division D1] In the preparation of synthetic (e.g. polyamide) fibres the fibres are, after spinning washed to remove at least some monomers present prior to the fibres being stretched, washed crimped, set and then subjected to another treatment such as cutting, stacking or winding, this all being performed in a continuous operation with the fibres in a substantially tensionless condition during the first washing step.
