Abstract
1279904 Insulated pipes KABEL UND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE AG 13 Oct 1970 [15 Oct 1969] 48624/70 Heading F2P A conduit, used for carrying heated or cooled fluids, comprises a corrugated longitudinally welded metal envelope enclosing at least two metal pipes separated from each other and from the envelope by insulating material. The metal envelope 3 is helically or circumferentially corrugated and may have an oval cross-section. An outer layer 5 of synthetic resin, e.g. P.V.C., protects the envelope 3 from corrosion and mechanical damage. The metal pipes 1, 2, e.g. of copper or corrosion-resistant steel, may also be corrugated. The insulation 4 is a cellular synthetic resin, e.g. polyurethane foam.
