Abstract
1279239 Board game J A H HOLMES 3 July 1969 [21 May 1968] 24118/68 Heading A6H Apparatus for playing a game of chance comprises a board marked with stations 14 arranged in rows containing three stations per row, each row having marked thereon a number corresponding to a number on a chance means e.g. a dice. Three playing pieces 10, 11, 12 are positioned in the rows each position being determined using the chance means. Scores are obtained when the playing pieces are in particular arrangements across any particular row, the arrangements being marked on the board as at 20. The apparatus may simulate a game of billiards (as shown) the playing pieces 10, 11 and 12 representing the white, red and spot balls respectively. The scoring arrangements may be displayed in circles 20 positioned around the board to represent the six pockets of a billiards table. In a modification the playing pieces are illuminated by electrical means which may be arranged so that the pieces are only illuminated when moved into rows. Scoring means 25 may be marked on the board.
