Abstract

1279154 Coloured liquid compositions of alkylated N-ethylene polymers GAF CORP 17 June 1969 [19 June 1968] 30614/69 Heading C3P [Also in Division G2] A positive working electrostatographic liquid developer for negative electrostatic images comprises (1) an insulating carrier liquid, (2) a dispersed colorant, (3) a metal soap of a fatty acid, which soap is soluble in (1), and (4) an alkylated polymer of a heterocyolic nitrogen-containing monomer, as defined in Specification 1,279,153. The examples describe developers in which (1) is a hydrocarbon, (2) is carbon black or an organic pigment, (3) is a Ce, Sr, Cr, In, Ni or Zr naphthenate or octoate, and (4) is an olefin-alkylated polyvinylpyrrolidone.
