1279099 Dyeing textiles SAMUEL PEGG & SON Ltd 20 Oct 1969 [10 Oct 1968] 48012/ 68 Heading D1B Textile goods are introduced into a treating vessel and preferably pretreated with a non- aqueous cleaning solvent to remove grease and contaminants before treating with a quantity of non-aqueous dye solution including an emulsifying agent the whole is agitated at a raised temperature to effect dyeing. The preliminary treatment with cleaning solvent may be at a raised temperature, the solvent being perchloroethylene, the dye solution may be in methanol or benzyl alcohol/methanol mixture, dyeing being preferably at 45 to 70‹C in presence of formic acid. Wool, nylon and polyacrylic materials are specified. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1220778.
