1278337 Golf club identification device UROPRO CO Ltd 28 Sept 1970 [6 Dec 1969] 59677/69 Heading A6D [Also in Divisions B8 E2 and F2] An identification device for a golf club comprises an expansible plug 11 insertible in a bore 20 in the club's shaft 2, a screw 5 passing through a bore 12 in the plug and carrying a nut or nut and washer 4 cooperating with a wedge-shaped recess 13 in the plug. The washer 3 may be dished or bent along a diameter. A recess 15 in the plug head 10 may be undercut at 16 to receive an identification disc 6; alternatively the plug-head may bear identifying marks.
