Abstract

1277202 Pipe joints E M SCHAVERIEN 30 May 1969 [28 June 1968 3 Sept 1968] 30974/68 and 41790/68 Heading F2G A tap body comprises a generally cylindrical chamber 3 with an integral outlet nozzle 5 extending from its side, the chamber being open at one end (as shown, the upper end) to receive a separately-formed valve, and the other end receiving an externally-threaded ring 8 containing a nut 10 screwed on to a supply pipe 1. The ring 8 and nut 10 may be moulded from nylon with flowed-in rubber seals 12. An O-ring 11 seals around the end of the pipe 1. The spout 5, &c. is moulded from plastics coated with metal. An aperture in the side of the spout 5 receives a plate 15 formed with a nozzle 16 and secured in place by screws. A base nut 6 and a clamp nut 7 hold the pipe 1 in a support 2.
