Abstract

1275914 Valves BRITISH OVERHEAD IRRIGATION Ltd 11 Nov 1969 [26 Oct 1968] 50929/68 Heading F2V A main valve member 14 controlling flow from an inlet 11 to an outlet 12, 12a is closed by inlet pressure acting in chamber 44 on a diaphragm 29 which is connected to the valve member 14 through a spacer 19, and opened by release of pressure from this chamber through an auxiliary valve to the outlet. As shown the auxiliary valve comprises an electromagnetically actuated pilot valve member 52 controlling a relay diaphragm valve 48 having a chamber vented to the outlet through pilot seat opening 51 and supplied from the main valve inlet through passage 46 and orifices 50 in the relay diaphragm.
