Abstract

1275727 Movable magnet switches GAGIVE 7 Oct 1969 [23 Oct 1968] 50385/68 Addition to 1178957 Heading H1N [Also in Division G4] A switching unit used in the protective system claimed in the parent Specification has a magnetic contact device 1 and at least one unidirectional current conducting device such as a diode 6 connected in series or across its contacts; the two devices being potted in a container to form a unitary structure 9 and the contacts actuated by a magnetic means such as a movable magnet (not shown) located externally of the structure 9 on a door or window. The contacts may be biased to the closed position by a tubulan or bar permanentmagnet (Fig. 2, not shown) which may also be within the structure 9.
