Abstract

1275100 Rollers SAMUEL BINGHAM CO 5 Sept 1969 44146/69 Heading F2V [Also in Division B8] A spreader-roller for use in carrying webs comprises a rigid body section 12 provided with a flexible covering 14 formed with a plurality of spaced ribs 28 having truncated conical surfaces oriented as shown with their core bases extending towards the respective ends 16, 18 of the roller from a central plane A-A, so that the surfaces are convex with respect to the said plane. The covering 14 may be of laminated material in which spaced grooves are cut to define the ribs 28.
