[Also in Division A1 A carrier pigeon transporter and launcher vehicle 1 comprises a number of cages on each side of the vehicle, the pigeons in each cage having access to one of a series of water troughs 7. Each cage has a base 27 supported on runners 28 mounted on mesh partitions 6, and a pivoted launcher flap 31. The flaps 31 are operable by a handle 41 through a rod 38 and pins 39. Roller blinds 42 having ventilating slots 43 may be provided. A ventilating tube 15 having light fittings 21 extends above each trough 7 and connects with an air intake 17. The pigeons can reach the troughs 7 through bars 10 in walls 8. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the walls 8 are replaced by a wall (14) depending from the ventilating pipe 15. The cage bases 27 are retained in position by sliding bolt catches, and have recessed outer edges, which, with recesses in the outer edge of the flaps, enable food to be placed in the cages. The flaps 31 also have introduction flaps (44), Fig. 2 (not shown).
