1,274,330. Vehicle suspensions; arrangements of fuel tanks. SOC. ANON AUTOMOBILES CITROEN. 22 Dec., 1969 [30 Dec., 1968], No. 62442/69. Headings B7D and B7H. An axle mounting sub-frame 1 is reinforced by incorporation therein of a fuel tank 4. Wheel-carrier arms 7, 7<SP>1</SP> are mounted on the sub-frame by members 6, 6<SP>1</SP>. The sub-frame may be connected to the vehicle chassis (2) (Fig. 1, not shown), by resilient pads (3). The underside of the fuel tank may be supported either by straps (8) or plates (9), if desired, (Fig. 3, not shown). In a modification (Fig. 4, not shown), an additional transverse member (10) of the sub-frame is contacted by the fueltank.
