Abstract

127,429. Broadhead, C. A. June 21, 1918. Rail and vertical-bar fencing; fencing-posts.- Reinforced-concrete fence posts A are mortised at B to receive the rails C, which are provided with bevel-halves or other interlocking parts, the lower edges of the mortices being preferably rounded to allow the rails to be sloped if necessary. Formed in the edges of the rails are semicircular notches G, H adapted to receive similarly-formed bosses E which are undercut to lock the rails in position. Locking-wedges of hard wood are inserted in the lower mortices, or cement may be employed for this purpose.
