Abstract

[Also in Division A4] An electrically heated butter dish comprises an outer dish A which is substantially rectangular in plan view and has a partition dividing it into an upper compartment containing a removable dish B for butter and a lower compartment containing an electric lamp (D) Figure 1 (not shown), for heating the butter in dish B and a thermostat E controlling current supply to the lamp (D) and adjusted to maintain a temperature of approximately 75‹F in the upper compartment which has an open upper end closed by a removable lid A1. The dishes and lid may be of wood, earthenware or plastics material. The thermostat E and a holder (C), Fig. 1, for lamp (D) are removably supported by spring steel clips (H).
