127,348. Maison Breguet, and Routin, J. L. Aug. 9, 1916, [Convention date]. Addition to 127,280. Sights and methods of sighting.-Consists in transmitting the observed angles from one station to another in the long home-base range-finder forming part of the anti-aircraft gunnery apparatus described in the parent Specification by means of luminous signals or Hertzian waves. When luminous signals are employed, the indicator at the transmitting-post may comprise a board, Fig. 4, carrying a number of electric lamps L controlled by a commutator switch e, f actuated by the observing-telescope, so that the grouping of the ignited lamps indicates the direction of the telescope. This direction may be reproduced at the receiving-post without taking a reading, by making use of a duplicate lamp-board similarly connected to the alidade of the miniature triangle. The two boards are viewed through a telescope having a reflecting-prism to bring the images into position for comparison, and the alidade is moved until the two boards agree. In a modification, Figs. 2 and 3, the indicator comprises a number of drums a, b, c, each bearing figures from 1 to 9, arranged to be seen through an opening in a board d. The drums are set by hand.
