Abstract
1,273,165. Resilient fasteners. TEXTRON Inc. 2 Dec., 1969, No. 58898/69. Heading E2B. [Also in Division F2] A part (e.g. the inner race 10, 10' of a ball bearing) is arranged to fit resiliently on a shaft by a ring of resilient material 16, 37 having a bore slightly smaller than the circumference of the shaft and having metal feet 13, 14, 15, 40, 41 embedded therein which feet are exposed at the bore to grip such a shaft when inserted therein. The feet 13, 14, 15, 40, 41 may have formed part of a continuous metal part, Fig. 4 or 35 around which the material 16, 37 was cast, the bore then being enlarged to machine away parts 26, 38 to form the feet.
