Abstract

1,271,768. Alarm systems. NITTAN CO. Ltd. 19 June, 1970 [1 July, 1969], No. 29859/70. Heading G4N. In an alarm system comprising a plurality of detectors 5 connected across a line 3, 4 and arranged to operate a relay 2, the series arrangement of a hold-in contact 21 and a resistor 7 are connected across the line 3, 4 to hold relay 2 energized and provide sufficient voltage across the line to permit identification of the operative detector 5. Each detector 5 may be a smoke detector, operating a thyristor in series with an indicator lamp (not shown).
