[Also in Divisions E2 and F2] A broom head 10 is joined to a handle 2 by a coupling comprising a tubular element 1 with a tapered stem 3 projecting from its base into screw threaded engagement with a nut carrying flexible arms 7, 8 entering an aperture in the head 10 and bent back as shown to receive the taper 4 so that screwing the stem 3 into the nut 9 displaces the arms 7, 8 to grip the walls of the aperture. The coupling 1, 9 may be used to join two tubes.
