Abstract
1,266,581. Warping yarns. SMITH & NEPHEW POLYFABRIK Ltd. 13 Feb., 1970 [17 Feb., 1969], No. 8380/69. Heading DIM. Heat shrinkable yarns being wound onto a warp beam are heated so as to tension all of the yarns equally. The yarns, which may be orientated polypropylene are fed from sectional beams 9 in a creel 2 over heated rollers (4, 5, Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) before passing through a reed (10) and onto the warp beam (1).
