Abstract

1,266,483. Underwater storage tank. KARL R. ROHRER ASSOCIATES. 13 Feb., 1970 [14 Feb., 1969], No. 7163/70. Heading BID. [Also in Divisions El and F2] Sewage enters a submerged and inflatable storage tank through a pipe 60 and a cover 30 therefor comprising a plate 211, openings 213a, 216 and a flow-dispersing cone 217. Large particles of solid matter settle on said plate and are removed whenever sewage is withdrawn from the tank by way of said pipe. An alternative cover, Fig. 7, differs chiefly in that the cone is replaced by generally conic members 242, 243 on legs 241.
