Abstract

1,265,849. Cushions. UNIVERSAL OIL PRODUCTS CO. Aug. 27, 1969 [Sept. 5, 1968], No.42568/69. Heading A4M. A cushion pad 2, e. g. of polyurethane, has a central portion 4 bordered along part of its periphery with raised edge portions 5 with sloping surfaces that intersect the top surface of the central portion, and is covered by a cover 3 with a strip 6 on its underside, the strip 6 being continuously fastened between the central 4 and edge portions 5. As shown the strip 6 is sewn to the. cover 3 and are adhesively secured in a slit 8 in the pad 2. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the strips (6<SP>1</SP>) are formed by a fold sewn into the. cover (3<SP>1</SP>) and are adhesively secured between separately formed central (4<SP>1</SP>) and edge (5<SP>1</SP>) portions.
