Abstract
1,265,770. Fluidised bed reactor. MONSANTO CO. 1 July, 1970 [1 July, 1969], No. 31866/70. Heading B1F. In a fluidised catalyst bed reactor for liquid or gaseous reactions, part of the fluid reactant is introduced through downward facing perforations 21 in annular pipe 17 to fluidise any quiescent catalyst at the periphery of distributor plate 13. Further fluid reactant can be introduced through pipes 27. The reactor may also include cyclone separators, temperature and pressure measuring elements and heat exchange systems.
