Abstract
1,265,675. Discharging hoppers by endless conveyers. PERRY OF OAKLEY Ltd. 24 June, 1970 [28 March, 1969; 14 Nov., 1969], Nos. 16252/69 and 55873/69. Heading B8S. Granular material falls from a hopper, Fig. 1, on to horizontal plates below the outlets 3 from which it is scraped to the left by a chain conveyer. Subsequently the conveyer moves the material to the right along the bottom of a guide 12 and up a tube 5 to a discharge outlet 6. In a second embodiment, Fig. 4, one discharge opening only is provided in the base of the hopper. The conveyer, which has flights, is driven by a motor 7 through a variable speed drive comprising belts and pulleys. Delivery from the outlet 6 may be automatically controlled. The angle of the tube 5 may be adjustable.
