1,264,864. Automatic chemical analysis apparatus. BODENSEEWERK PERKIN-ELMER & CO. G.m.b.H. 19 March, 1969 [19 March, 1968], No. 14516/69. Heading B1X. Automatic chemical analysis apparatus comprises a turntable 1 which is rotated stepwise about a vertical axis and which carries reaction vessels 2 adjacent its periphery, a circular plate 7 concentric with turntable 1 which carries detachable projections 10 for carrying tubes for introducing liquid to or withdrawing fluid from vessels 2, projections 10 being attachable at different locations about the periphery of plate 7, and an electric motor to move plate 7 up and down in automatic dependance upon the rotation of turntable 1 to introduce the ends of the tubes into and remove them from the vessels 2. The tubes may be for withdrawing fluid by suction or for flushing empty containers.
