Abstract
1,264,505. Platform elevators; roller conveyers. JARKE CORP. 18 April, 1969 [14 Aug., 1968], No. 19874/69. Headings B8A and B8H. [Also in Division G1] In a mobile platform elevator comprising a screw-and-nut mechanism 21, 22 mounted in a post at each corner of a base frame, the platform 13 consists of a roller table 14 supported on a frame 15 which is connected by links to the nuts 22, the links being connected to the nuts and to brackets 57 on the frame 15 by means of spherical or like joints. Each screw 21 is supported at the top of the associated post by a bearing 23 and, at its lower end, is connected by a flexible coupling to drive shafts connected to a motor on the base frame, Fig. 2 (not shown). Guide blocks 60 are mounted on the brackets 57 for engagement with the posts. The roller table 14 is supported on the frame 15 by load cells 65 which are coupled to a weight scale, Fig. 1 (not shown). The elevator is mounted on castors 18 and may be self-propelled.
