Abstract

[Also in Divisions B7 and D1] A flexible finger for a skirt of a gas-cushion vehicle is made from sheet material which comprises rubber of resilience in excess of 72% and extension modulus such that it has a stress at 300% elongation of less than 100016/m<SP>2</SP>, reinforced with textile fabric which is either square-woven or in cord form. Numerical data are given as example for the composition and physical properties of a suitable rubber and for the characteristics of a suitable square-woven nylon reinforcement.
