Abstract

1,263,725. Drying the body or the hair. WARMEX Ltd. and A. GOLDSTEIN. 16 April, 1969 [13 Dec., 1968], No. 59413/68. Heading A5R. A body or hair drier comprises a conduit 6, a blower 3 and electric heating means for supplying hot air, the conduit having two outlets (15 and 16) Fig. 1 (not shown) an air stream deflector 18 located in the conduit adjacent to each outlet, means for oscillating each deflector about a horizontal axis and a timing device operable to switch off the blower and heating means after a predetermined period of operation. The oscillator comprises links 23 attached to the deflectors and connected through rod 19 and crank 20 and a slipping clutch to a motor 21. A main electric heater 5, a first stage heater (8) a preheater (9) and an electric motor 4 for the blower are provided. The conduit is located in a cabinet (1, Fig. 1, (not shown)) having a towel storage compartment (10) with a delivery slot (11) which may be coin operated with a coin acceptor slot (7).
