Abstract

1,263,763. Photographic cameras. EXPOSURE CONTROL SYSTEMS Inc. Sept.10, 1969, No.44620/69. Heading G2A. A camera comprises a through the lens exposure control system having a photo-cell 56 positioned behind the film 38. The photo-cell may be connected to a meter 82, an iris diaphragm 16 being manually adjusted by means of a ring 18 to bring the meter pointer to the zero mark. Alternatively the diaphragm 16 may be automatically controlled by the photo-cell. The photo-cell is mounted in a threaded aperture in an element 48 whereby its distance from the film may be adjusted according to film sensitivity. Exposure aperture 24 is adjustable by means of blades 20, 22, and similar blades may be provided for an aperture 44 situated immediately before the photo-cell. Film 38 is guided by a surface 36 of a guide 26 into which element 48 is fitted.
