Abstract
1,262,894. Pyrazolone derivatives. MARUKO SEIYAKU CO. Ltd. 15 July, 1969 [9 Sept., 1968], No. 35690/69. Heading C2C. Novel compounds I in which R is a metal, ammonium, H, alkyl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl and R 1 is alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl are prepared by (1) reacting or with in which R 2 is H, alkyl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl and X is halo, (2) alkylating, aralkylating or arylating the corresponding 2-pyrazoline, (3) esterifying I in which R is H, (4) hydrolysing I in which R is alkyl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl or (5) forming a salt from I in which R is H or a metal. Pharmaceutical compositions having antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory effect comprise a compound I together with a suitable excipient and are administered orally or parenterally.
