Abstract

1,262,884. Containers. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 14 Feb., 1969 [16 Feb., 1968], No. 8208/69. Heading B8P. A container 10 for rolls 26 of web material comprises two cover panels joined by a hinge panel 46 and each of the cover panels is provided with a body portion 14. Each body portion 12, 14 defines a plurality of recesses 24 for receiving the rolls 26 with their axes extending generally perpendicular to the associated cover panel. The hinge panel permits the cover panels to be moved from an open position to a closed position in which the cover panels are in spaced parallel relationship with the body portion(s) disposed therebetween. The cover panels may each be provided with a flap 48, 50 the latter flaps covering the recesses when the cover panels are closed (Fig. 3, not shown). The cover flaps are retained in their closed position by interengaging hooks and loops 52, 54 which project through openings 56, 58 in the flaps 48, 50. Each recess 24 is formed with a thumb slide or cleft 27 permitting ready access to the reel therein.
