Abstract
1,261,285. Preparing 1 - aminoalkylamino- 4-chloroanthraquinones. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. 11 June, 1969 [12 June, 1968], No. 29533/69. Heading C4P. 1 - Amino - alkylamino - 4 - chloroanthraquinones of the general formula wherein X denotes a C 2 -C 6 aliphatic radical or a phenylene group, R is a C 1 -C 4 aliphatic radical and R<SP>1</SP> is R or a benzene radical, or R and R<SP>1</SP> together with the N atom and optionally further hetero-atoms form a heterocyclic ring, and where R and R<SP>1</SP> and the #-positions of the anthraquinone nucleus may bear substituents are prepared by reacting a 1,4-dichloro-anthraquinone at 70-220‹ C. with an amine H 2 N-X-N(R)R<SP>1</SP> optionally in presence of a solvent and further a copper compound. In the absence of a solvent an excess of amine compound is used and when a solvent is present 1À05 to 2 moles of amine compound per mol of 1,4-dichloroanthraquinone is used. Copper (II) carbonate, copper (I) or (II) chlorides and copper acetate may be used. Examples 4 and 5 refer to compound where N, R and R<SP>1</SP> form imidazole and morpholino-rings.
