Abstract

1,260,098. Automatic circuit breakers. SOC. D'APPAREILLAGE ELECTRIQUE SAPAREL. 25 March, 1970 [26 March, 1969], No. 14614/70. Heading H1N. In a three pole circuit breaker each pole is provided with a current setting device comprising a plug or screw 5, 5<SP>1</SP>, 511 insertable into one of a plurality of sockets 3, the three screws 5, 5<SP>1</SP>, 511 being coupled together by an insulating strip 6 which ensures that all poles have the same rating, the strip carrying current rating markings only one of which is visible through a window 9 for any particular setting of the screws. The strip 6 can slide only longitudinally between abutments 7, 7<SP>1</SP>. As shown the screws can select either the 15 or 20 AMP sockets with a longitudinal movement of strip 6 bringing either the 15 or 20 markings below window 9. If the strip is turned through 180 degrees the screws can then select either 25 or 30 AMP sockets. If the screws are slid along slots 10 to the centre of the strip 6 they can then be inserted into 10 AMP sockets. The screws select various shunts 4.
