Abstract
1,259,848. Levelling materials in containers. OHLER EKCO VERPACKUNGEN G.m.b.H., and E. SCHIERLE. 18 April, 1969 [11 June, 1968], No. 19826/69. Heading B8C. Apparatus for levelling materials within open topped containers when passing between container filling and capping stations (not shown), comprises at least one roller driven so that the peripheral speed of the roller's zone of contact with the material to be levelled is greater than the translational speed of the conveyer 1 which carries the container. The roller rotates in the same direction as the conveyer's movement but any additional rollers used need not be driven, or if they are, need not rotate in the same direction as the first mentioned roller. The rollers may be adjusted in height and when several are used they may be aligned together at any angle.
