Abstract

1,259,288. Seaming non-metallic sheet material. LINDSAY WIRE WEAVING CO. 23 Dec., 1968 [22 Dec., 1967], No. 38847/71. Divided out of 1,259,287. Heading B5K. The subject-matter is identical to that disclosed in Specification 1,259,287, but the claims relate to a fabric material comprising two portions joined to form a seam; the fabric having a plurality of polymeric warp filaments interwoven with a plurality of weft filaments; the warp filaments of the two fabric portions being cut to different lengths complementary in the two portions, and joined by adhesive in abutting relationship along two spaced generally parallel lines extending transversely to the general direction of the warp filaments; there being a plurality of interwoven weft filaments between the two lines; and the cut and joined ends of the warp filaments lying in planes making an angle to the general plane of the fabric.
