Abstract

1,254,508. Edge connectors for printed circuit boards. R.C.A. CORPORATION. 9 May, 1969 [13 May, 1968], No. 23720/69. Heading H2E. An edge connector comprises an L-shaped insulating body with base and side portions 16, 17 with channels 18. Integral latches 22 may engage'holes 23 in a support structure 24. Two connectors receive the leading edge 13 of a circuit board 10 and also support its edges 20. Projections 21 engage in complementary formations on the board. Contact elements, 25, corresponding to the printed circuitry which may be an both sides of the board, have lower portions 27 to electrically contact circuit paths 29 in assembly.
